Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA)
A Labour Market Impact Assessment is a document that an employer in Canada may need to receive prior to hiring a foreign worker. A positive LMIA will show that there is a need for a foreign worker to fill the job.
Open Work Permit
An Open Work Permit allows the holder to work in any position for any employer in Canada for the length of time stated on the document. It will be valid for 5 years from the date of issurance or until the workers's passport expires.
International Experience Class (IEC)
An International Experience Canada (IEC) is a set of programs enabling young people from participating countries to travel to Canada to live and work temporarily. An IEC lasts upto 2 years.
